Vintage Bathroom REVEAL!!! | Master Bathroom Makeover

Vintage Bathroom REVEAL!!! | Master Bathroom Makeover

Welcome to our master bathroom!! This glorious palatial expanse of white porcelain is right off our master bedroom. Well, maybe not exactly palatial. But considering the house has precisely one bathroom when we moved in and it was on the second floor and it was also carpeted? This is an enormous improvement.

Now don’t be fooled. This room has been completed for going on nine months now. And we have been thoroughly enjoying it the whole time. But I just haven’t managed to get around to filming it…until today.

So today I invite you to come tour our not newly completed but still entirely spectacular turn of the century inspired master bathroom. I promise the whole room is lovely.

All resources and links are below. It’s a DOOZY. So if you can’t find something, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

  8. Marie Drotar on November 9, 2022 at 9:03 pm

Sooo glad I discovered your videos!!! This bathroom is one of the best rooms I have ever seen. The idea of keeping the shower level with no curb is genius. You have amazing taste and I look forward to seeing more !!!

  9. Cynthia Luna on November 9, 2022 at 9:04 pm

  12. Lorraine Howard on November 9, 2022 at 9:07 pm

I love that bathroom. Absolutely looks like it came with the house. I knew What you had done with the shower floor before you showed it. I love that!

  13. mary strenke on November 9, 2022 at 9:08 pm

That medicine cabinet is awesome 😎 The sink is so unique!!! I LOVE what you have done to your house. We have inherited an old farmhouse – 2 houses attached(the old house is from late 1800’s, early 1900)- new part 1946!!! So much vintage memorabilia left so I keep everything as original as I can. Time capsule of my husband’s family ❤️

  14. Sherene Chen-See on November 9, 2022 at 9:11 pm

Love it! The slope of the shower, the lack of curb, the beautiful sink. Etc., etc.

  15. LoveLady 3377 on November 9, 2022 at 9:16 pm

That’s a beautiful countryside view, looking out your window by the bathroom. And also, the view from the beginning of your front driveway, with all that acreage of green grass, before you get to the house, is pretty too. It takes me back to my years in the country, in Virginia.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! I just love what you did with the floor tile. I had never seen that pattern before. You must think you are in Heaven now with your master bath. Imagine having to go upstairs in the middle of the night. You did a great job and even though it is a small bathroom, it does not look small. Enjoy it in good health!

  23. General Corgi on November 9, 2022 at 9:25 pm

What’s up with bathroom faucets and being so incredibly small? Watching that clip of you washing up, you basically had to hold your hands against the side of the sink

  24. Donnia Mckee-Griffin on November 9, 2022 at 9:29 pm

I’m totally in love with this bathroom.

  25. Rebecca Campos on November 9, 2022 at 9:29 pm

  31. Mermaid Seahorse on November 9, 2022 at 9:32 pm

hello!!?? why did you not mention that gorgeous tall window in the bathroom? i have a pet peeve with tiny windows in bathrooms , this one is soooooo good! all that light and the view….and only the chickens will see you naked…and if you need privacy put in a blind or hang a curtain….and tiny windows upset the window symmetry of most houses and hurt my brain to look at lmao 😀 anyone else with me ???? 😀

  33. LoveLady 3377 on November 9, 2022 at 9:37 pm

Wow!!! You are evidently VERY serious about truly making your beautiful old farmhouse as exactly close to the time period style in everything!! Because the way this video starts out, with the view of the old white sink, with the seperate hot and cold spigots, whew!! How do I know about these?! Well, I had to temporarily live in an old, old hotel, and their sinks were like that too, with the two seperate temperature spigots, and honestly, you must be not only very devoted, but also very patient, because I remember I hated having to use those old sinks, especially in the cold months, when I just wanted to simply wash my hands, and I had the miserable choice of either freezing cold water on one end, or burning hot water, on the other side!!!! (Burning my hands painfully).

Ohhhhh soooo much Cat Tax Paid!!!!!! 🤗🤗🤗

  35. Justin Threats on November 9, 2022 at 9:38 pm

I love it! I was looking at the Floor and Decor Festival line too but I didn’t see a pencil tile like the one you have here. Did you get your pencil from Floor and Decor? Is it one of the other not Festival brands if so which one? I am really trying to replicate this almost exactly but finding at white pencil to match is killing me.

I would insist on having a mixer tap. Other than that, that bathroom is wonderful.

  41. Mary Booth on November 9, 2022 at 9:45 pm

I love it so much but….. butt…. Taking a poo poo with a big window and no curtain or shade makes me feel “nakey” and not sure I could perform the duty…. 💩

  42. Barbara Fling on November 9, 2022 at 9:47 pm

What is the dimensions of the room?

  43. Liberty Blueskyes on November 9, 2022 at 9:48 pm

    Wow. Vintage faucets!!!

  44. Jessica Jones on November 9, 2022 at 9:49 pm

You had me at the beautifully filmed hand-washing…but then seeing the rest of the bathroom, oh wow, gorgeous! Your careful thought and research-based planning made me soo happy. Thank you for reminding me that there are still many people who care deeply about the little details and who value and appreciate historical design 🥰

Watching this video, i realized the my brushed nickel candle sconces that don’t actually match the antique gold chandelier in the entry way where they current hang. But they would match my bathroom fixtures perfectly. Thanks for the tour. It gives me some ideas for my own main floor 1/2 bath remodel to add a shower.

  47. Amy Cavin on November 9, 2022 at 9:50 pm

So after the dining room reveal, I went back to see rooms I had seen on IG ( where I found you almost 2 years ago). I am constantly amazed at your attention to detail and wonder if you would do an update to show how your everyday storage does work and evolve. You are doing such a wonderful renovation!
