Laura… This was so fun. I’ve been gardening for many years but I always learn something from your videos. Always nice to get a new perspective. I also get excited when you bring up something that I do as well. Gardening does involve patience and is a work in progress. Love from Colorado.

I love all your ideas and beautiful gardens you creat. I just moved to agua Dulce Ca. I talk to neighbors they say flowers don’t grow in this region because of extreme hot and cold weather. We are in region 8. Can you give me some tips as to what flowers I can grow here?

I love your gardens and the advice you give but I was wondering if you can recommend a YouTuber that has a cottage garden in the south, particularly zone 7 or 8.

  32. TES on November 23, 2022 at 10:32 pm

I wish you would have talked about the planter in the back . Its got some different heights and colors. Im very curious about it. Especially because the area is sun loving. I didn’t see any blooms and my husband is allergic to bees. I really need help here with this subject.

  36. Jackie Killeen on November 23, 2022 at 10:36 pm

Hello, just found you. Love your gardens. Do you ever take on a job to make a plan for a you tube subscriber for a fee?
I have about a 40 ft x 20 ft backyard that has a hill. I also have a golden retriever puppy so I’m leaning towards drought tolerant rose bushes. That way he can’t run over them as well.
I had a sprinkler system installed since he chewed up all the drip lines. Please let me know if you are interested in helping me plan this garden. Love your Cottage garden.
    Thanks

Ive been trying to do this cottage garden style for quite a while. My biggest problem is crab grass. I can’t keep the crab grass out. Any advice? It’s stopping me from doing what I want to do in my beds.

Hi! Can you make a video explaining the different styles of garden. I was looking for a good preview of different styles to figure out what works best for my neighborhood 🙂

  45. Candace McGuire on November 23, 2022 at 10:47 pm

This is so beautiful. I love the look of a cottage garden. It’s the total opposite of my style, but I think it’s lovely.

  46. R Taylor on November 23, 2022 at 10:48 pm

Thanks for verifying that I’m actually planting cottage garden style 🙂 my new back gardens are all shades of blues, purples and white. My rose garden is purples, peaches and a soft cream yellow.
You’ve been inspiring me to get back into gardening now that I’m retired.

Hi, i have hybrid tea rose with 1 m spacing and would love to create cottage style garden like urs. Will the rose need space to grow? Or will i be fine?

  48. Heidi Hanz on November 23, 2022 at 10:53 pm

I love how the garden looks different at various stages. All beautiful.

  49. Nola Rice on November 23, 2022 at 10:53 pm

Another fantastic video! I love cottage gardens! I have 3 long and narrow flower beds that have been working on since we bought our house 3 years ago. It’s so fun to buy all kinds of flowers and watch the garden change a little each year. I love to plant bright, loud colors that stand out against our pale yellow house. 🌺🌷🌼🌸🌻🌹
