    Re: horse manure, it may contain vermicides; my horse’s boarding stable requires worming with commercial medications every other month. So, unless you’re 100% sure that the horses which produced the manure to which you have access have not been so dosed, let the poop age for several months before adding it to compost or otherwise using it.
