I just discovered your channel and I’m hooked. Your garden and your mom’s garden are stunning. I love how you incorporate statues and fountains for texture. I would like to ask what you call the orb or metal cages you use in your pots to train vines for added interest. And where can I buy some for my garden.

  7. Lori Stricklin on June 10, 2019 at 1:51 am

Would love to see these areas when they mature and fill in.

  9. normaj39ami on June 10, 2019 at 1:56 am

Did you use any potting soil? Or just what’s in the ground?

  10. Gabriel Meza on June 10, 2019 at 1:57 am

You always stay so clean when you garden! Super impressive. I’m literally so dirty when I pot a five gallon plant 😂. I really enjoy your channel, very inspiring. 😊💕

She is bloody amazing! The first video I watched was a tour and I naturally assumed that they had an army of gardeners. Instead I have discovered she does most everything herself! I am in utter awe.

I never look that glamorous after digging in the garden.

  13. Natasha Sattin on June 10, 2019 at 1:58 am

I’m encouraged. Thanks so much. This can be a daunting process.

Why not treat the tree instead of removing it? I hope it gets replanted in another place

My house sits on top of a hill and the front yard slopes down and I have a u shaped driveway and I don’t know what to do or where to put what and everything is overgrown but a fresh clean start

  20. Tammi GF on June 10, 2019 at 2:08 am

Laura, how is this area looking now, in 2019? I would love to see some year to year comparisons so we could see maturity, changes, etc. LOVE your channel, fb page and group, IG, you name it! Thank you!

I love Dexter’s enthusiasm. But please remember that Lillie’s are extremely toxic to cats. Only a small amount of pollen can be toxic.

Hey! Question! So I watched this because it’s closest to what I’m trying to do except I’m redoing a flower bed/area that was pretty barren before as per the previous home owners’ design. It’s just covered in this huge wood chip mulch…..can I just clear away the specific areas I want to plant and dig a little hole and leave most of the mulch? Or do I rip out the whole section?

(Video question for visual of the area:

Hi! I’m new to your channel and am loving it! Your husband and you remind me of my husband and I! I was a florist and perennial garden designer and it was my passion till I was disabled! I’m old now but this is like watching my early years with my husband and I sharing our passion together. It was our special bonding to work together in our gardens! Oh how I miss it!!! I love your design and plant choices! However I’m more of a hot color, wild gardner, but my husband loves your soft pastels! Thank you for the special knowledge you share but most of all keep gardening together. It’s my fondest memories after 40yrs of marriage! It’s good to see such young couples sharing hobbies and getting outdoors! You do a beautiful job taping and editing also! Your a great team!

  37. Daymickey on June 10, 2019 at 2:23 am

Watching in 2019. It’s crazy how different this part of the garden is now. She really transformed it little by little, just as she said she would.

  38. Dianne Wilson on June 10, 2019 at 2:24 am

    love your colour sense

  39. Melissa Wheeler on June 10, 2019 at 2:24 am

Thank you for this video! I have had great luck with gladiolus’, do you have any videos using them in a garden? I struggle because they’re only summer interest but they’re very tall so need to be in the back so when they’re not in bloom my garden looks naked. I love them for cuttings!

  40. Little Missy on June 10, 2019 at 2:25 am

I just love your videos. I wish I was there to brainstorm with you.

Also… is it okay to put weed prevention in before I plant my things or will it hurt the flowers/plants?

My friend had a beautiful cypress arch that had two big brown spots on it……. he wasn’t ready to tear them out so he spray painted green the brown spots…..LOL it worked for a couple years till he had the funds to re-design the area.
