Outdoor DIY & Decor Challenge: Address Display

Outdoor DIY & Decor Challenge: Address Display

Today I’m joining The DIY Mommy for her Outdoor DIY & Decor Challenge video. I’m working with a small budget, small porch, and a rental home but I still manage add fresh touches using my 3 step process.

The floor, the door and 1 more! Pretty silly saying but seriously it’s a great recipe for decorating your outdoor space.

I didn’t mention that I also added a block of foam behind the planter so it wouldn’t fall at such a steep angle. The block helps the planter hang more level to the wall and helps the address be seen.

Additionally, I used hot glue to attach the command hook to the brick. I’ve used this method on brick many times (indoor and outdoor) and the glue peels of cleanly without damaging the brick beneath. I did keep to foam in order to keep the weight light but rocks or soil are another great option if you have something to support the weight.

Great idea!! I’ve been thinking of doing something like this even though our number is on the door the layout of the complex is confusing so having it displayed twice couldn’t hurt 🙂 Definitely want to see the backyard!

You should always have your house numbers prominently displayed. In many towns it is illegal not to. The reason is for the rescue services. We never expect to have an emergency but they do happen. Make it easy for for them and paint or hang your numbers where the can be seen clearly from the street even in the dark.
