Low Cost & Low Maintenance Flower Garden

Low Cost & Low Maintenance Flower Garden

My front yard flower garden. The perennials have been blooming non-stop for over a year and last year’s annuals have reseeded, making this garden full of color and texture. Can you see the black snake sliding along the front of the flower bed? We have quite a few of them here and we need them to help keep down the rodent population. It is a little hard to spot him because I also have black soaker hoses intertwined around the bed. Perennials: Penta, Vinca, Blue and Black & Blue Salvia, Begonia, Impatiens. Annuals: Petunias,Marigold, Zinnia,

I would plant marigolds and zinnias. As you deadhead them, sprinkle the seed around your garden.

How often do you fertilized your flowers during the summer? They are so pretty.

Beautiful garden and the little snake was awesome! Is this a Florida garden? I have most of the plants you have in my garden and I wanna bring them out front. How far apart are most of these spaced? or do you just fill in and thin out? If you haven’t found the name of the "blue flowers" those look like Salvia Guarnticia or something like that. Happy Gardening!

What state do you live in? I had Vinca last year and they bloomed awesome, but died in the winter. The only flowers that came back this year are my knock out roses.

Is all of your flowers perennials? If not how do you get them to grow big and bushy in the same summer? Thank you

I have been working on a flower bed. Nothing as gorgeous as yours yet! I have decided that tomorrow I will be hauling creek rock from behind the bed (since it lines the creek because it was just such an ugly site lol) to line the back of the flower garden to make weeding and growth reduction easier. I hope it turns out beautiful!

How much sun does your garden require? I live in the Northeast and wonder about my requirements for such a beautiful garden.

People like the CrackerJack and Yellow Marigolds I am growing with vibrant blooms on them along with some Dwarf Jewel Nasturtium that have orange or salmon blooms.. I don’t water these flowers and they keep on producing like crazy.

Hello to all flowers-lovers … A message from Jed Ford. Some-time ago I wrote and recorded a SONG called ‘I Would Plant A Million Roses Every Day’. It has become my ‘joint’ most-popular-ever creation. ‘NOW’ that song has become a ‘VIDEO’ with lots ‘n’ lots of pictures of all the different flowers I wrote into my song, especially ROSES. The ‘video’ is now ON YouTube, I hope many lovers of flowers, and lovers of ‘LOVE’ will find it, and, I hope, LIKE what I’ve created. IF you ‘do’, would you kindly pass-it-on, with these ‘SHARE’ & ‘LIKE’ things, to all-your-flowers-loving friends and contacts. My best wishes to you all. HERE ‘IS’ the ‘LINK’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPzEP93hJx8
