To much weeding!!! If you properly prepare the beds it is so much less work. I suggest the double dig method combined with hoogle-culture and raised beds, and never till before you weed, and really tilling isn’t that great ether. I suggest reading "How to Grow More Vegetables, Ninth Edition" for more information on properly preparing your soil before planting. Check out this website for more on raised beds, hoogle-culture, and do nothing gardening thegardenersguild.com. Much Love, Get Growing, Joe

Great beginners video. This will be year 3 for me. The first year I used starter plants, they did really good. Last year I tried seeding. My pastor and I did them the same weekend. Her veggies came up nice and pretty, nothing came up from mine. The difference, I was hand watering she had a soaking hose with a timer on it. Therefore this year I was going to go ahead and get me a soaking hose. You mentioned the fan sprinkler. Which do you suppose to be better, the fan sprinkler or the soaking hose is better? And now that I know water was the big issue I’m not sure if I want to seed this year or start with the starter plants.

The app for showing the path of the sun across the sky is finally a good reason for iphones to exist. I had to watch the sky for a year to know. Kinda slows things down. Not that slow is bad, it’s just very unpopular. 😂

I live in the “Southern climates” tho, and effall grows in full sun… It comes up already cooked. Other than that, i support your message. 👍

I started out with just a couple plants in a container garden and kinda learned that way but I think I’ve almost always had a garden with my parents before then but I think it’s a good idea to start small if you make a mistake it’s not the end of the world in a small garden
