I know I’m like…. waaaaay late to this video…๐Ÿคฃ but, there’s something im wondering.
    (I love this DIY btw)
So the problem I always have with the wood look contact paper from DT is the shine on it. Do you think going over it with a layer of matte mod podge would fix that? Do you think mod podge would even apply correctly to that contact paper? ๐Ÿค”

I want to do this DIY so bad but I cannot find those metal black pieces underneath the Shelf

  7. all mighty on August 16, 2019 at 3:25 pm

    Very poor finish.

  8. sctvgirl on August 16, 2019 at 3:26 pm

That was a bolt, not a screw that you attached the nut too.ย The shaft of a bolt does not have a point at the end and requires a nut to secure it. Whereas a screw can secure on its own and has a pointed tip. An idea for the hooks at the bottom is to put a dowl and turn it into a towel rack or a display for some fabric art.

I have seen many videos on these shelves. All in which have made me nervous to do lol. But this one seems super easy. I’m excited to go out and make this

  17. Rosa Hodge on August 16, 2019 at 3:36 pm

Great way to add a spa like towel shelf in my bathroom reno. I actually like the light color contact paper….it helps add to zen feeling of the shelves. Darker tones make it look too heavy. great work

This is an awesome idea! Especially great for people who aren’t woodworkers;) it was hard for me to listen tho with the music going, esp that loud. Thank you for sharing! Love it!

  29. Rebecca Simpson on August 16, 2019 at 3:46 pm

I like this idea you can add a small rod to the ends of the brackets to drape a towel over in the bathroom.. I have some shelve boards from a shelf that I don’t have all the hardware i think ill do this in the bathroom

  30. Lisha Leon on August 16, 2019 at 3:46 pm

I love love love this idea! I may just do this in my bathroom. I was worried about the brackets covering an intricate pattern I painted on the wall but these are decorative so it might look a lot nicer

  41. David Conner on August 16, 2019 at 3:59 pm

    Great job.

  42. Dolphins life on August 16, 2019 at 4:00 pm

  43. Mischa Myers on August 16, 2019 at 4:07 pm

    Awesome!!

  44. sabatham on August 16, 2019 at 4:08 pm

I never would have thought to use the brackets like that! I need narrow shelves for in my bathroom and I could do this with a 6 inch wide board as the shelf! Thanks for the idea

  45. Triste Locka on August 16, 2019 at 4:09 pm

LOoOoove this video! Only problem is i dont have a power drill to make holes in the bracket!! But ill prolly hammer a nail through! Lmao thanks 4 this awesome video!! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

  47. Melinda T. on August 16, 2019 at 4:12 pm

I made this! Unfortunately I do not have social media anything so I cant share it but it turned out great. Thank you so much tor sharing your creativity!

  48. luv-chanel on August 16, 2019 at 4:13 pm

Nice, yet we need more spaces instead of junks. A plain bare white wall is more elegant than a ghetto wall full of Knick knack. Less is more.

  49. Crystal Pasillas on August 16, 2019 at 4:13 pm

Can you use those command frame Velcro things to hang it up?

  50. Niki M on August 16, 2019 at 4:13 pm

This is EXACTLY the DIY I have been looking for to add a bookshelf to my desk at work. THANK YOU!!
