Great idea! Thanks for the video! Store bought freestanding ones are so expensive and not as nice as yours!

I have a huge cat enclosure that runs from the house to a outdoor shed with electric in so can have an electric oil radiator inside and light, even a radio πŸ˜‚ my 6 cats love the music.
Can I ask what plants are safe for cats please?, I’m going to plant some tubs up for inside and and buy some hanging tubs too.
Also I brough a couple of radiator beds and hung them inside on the run itself, and you can get a hammock which they love and hang from the top to sit and sleep in, just a suggestion anyway lol πŸ’• Thanks again for the video πŸ‘πŸ±. Xx

I’m making this for my Bugsy. Thank you!

  6. NextJeneration on July 8, 2019 at 1:59 pm

ATTENTION: I’m allergic to wasps and therefore cannot be stung by them. They were tormenting me the entire day, so we obviously had to do something about it. Sorry if that offends anyone.. 🦟🦟🦟

I really like this idea. I wish I could make one, but I live in a second-floor apartment. Any recommendations?

  8. Mel Mill on July 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm

Love it love it. Particularly the part where you kept the annoyance of working with your significant other because we all know that is realistic. LOL. There will always be an argument. My cat will love this. Thank you.

    Perfect <3

  10. Margery K on July 8, 2019 at 2:01 pm

Nicely done, but why every other sentence ends with a question mark?????

  11. MisfitFox on July 8, 2019 at 2:02 pm

I would be worried with it not being anchored to the roof or housing. Like with enough of a jump onto that wooden platform, it might fall forward.

  12. Darkcat 8 on July 8, 2019 at 2:04 pm

So we have 7 cars and were getting a catio aswell and this was a random pop up I have never watched a video about catio so I thought that was crazy and we have plant starters with plants that keep away mosquitoes tick and fleas like Rosemary Chamomile Zinnias lemon balm cat grass catnip and Spearmint

The mighty hunter leaves his den to go out and conquer the great outdoors… king of all he surveys…

  17. Kelsey Anderson on July 8, 2019 at 2:14 pm

Sorry if I missed that part in the video, but did you secure the catio to the house at all?

  18. Rebecca Hope on July 8, 2019 at 2:14 pm

Great job! I’m looking for a catio for apartment patio with sliding door. Did you attach yours to the brick or how do you keep it from falling forward?

  19. jason camper on July 8, 2019 at 2:18 pm

That boyfriend needs his own YouTube channel. lol

  20. Elaine Guthrie on July 8, 2019 at 2:18 pm

This is a great video….and you explained it clearly. Thank You. I think I will be making it a little larger. I am fostering a mom kitty with 8 of her little ones. They need a good place to hang out, it’s looking like I can’t find any homes for them…..they are beautiful.
some of them look like maine coon mix. They were born April 2019, and they are so much fun to love…..so I don’t mind.

  21. Kelly Wolfe on July 8, 2019 at 2:19 pm

  25. Francy Nicoli on July 8, 2019 at 2:22 pm

Will this work for outdoor cats?

  26. Lorrie Harkey on July 8, 2019 at 2:23 pm

Great video! The only thing I found offensive is that you didn’t kill more wasps ….. I am absolutely terrified of them . Here in SC they’re big enough to carry away a small animal YUCK UGH!!!!!

  27. jayne stafford on July 8, 2019 at 2:24 pm

Probably better to glue gun the string. And nail the wire with staple nails. Did you attach it to the wall?

  28. HRD Heather 77 on July 8, 2019 at 2:24 pm

    i love your precious furbabies

  29. Kylie Tiner on July 8, 2019 at 2:24 pm

  31. Douglas MacLennan on July 8, 2019 at 2:27 pm

when you said cat grass, did you really mean catnip???

  32. Theresa M on July 8, 2019 at 2:27 pm

We used zip ties because we were lazy.

  33. Anna Seda on July 8, 2019 at 2:27 pm

Reminds me of mid century baby cages!

  34. Biz888 on July 8, 2019 at 2:28 pm

if there are feral cats passing by or resting outside of your house, doesn’t that make your indoor cat pee/spray in your house?

  35. roxy on July 8, 2019 at 2:31 pm

    this catzaddy tho 3:30

  36. Paisley Szu Szu on July 8, 2019 at 2:31 pm

  37. Susan Buckley on July 8, 2019 at 2:32 pm

This is fantastic!’ I’m going to make one for my tenants cats… he’s so excited!

  38. Currently Human on July 8, 2019 at 2:32 pm

How did you secure it to the brick? I have two cats I want to do this and keep the cat litter out side but I know that would get out if it not secure to the wall

  39. Riosss Riosss on July 8, 2019 at 2:34 pm

it came out amazing. I need one for my two Kittens

  40. Elizabeth Schmidt on July 8, 2019 at 2:36 pm

I would say… to make it more secure (if you own) get a masonry bit and screw brackets into the wall of the house. That way it is anchored down to something (husband is a skilled carpenter. Learned from him)

  41. Aaron Battles on July 8, 2019 at 2:36 pm

What did you do if anything to secure it to the catico to the house?

  42. sarah black on July 8, 2019 at 2:37 pm

    Love it

  43. Reo Neko96 on July 8, 2019 at 2:37 pm

I need to build larger than this. I got 20 cats

  44. dc in rb on July 8, 2019 at 2:37 pm

Of course, when away from home and overnight, you do lock your downstairs window? For earth quake prone CA, I would use L-hinges and long screws on the base frame. Or, weigh down the base with a large river rock. Otherwise, a great DIY kitty sunroom. If I halve the length, I might get this to fit my condo’s balcony. My HOA is a bugger for rules. Thanks 😊 🐈

  45. April Stjames on July 8, 2019 at 2:38 pm

  48. Thomas Pickens on July 8, 2019 at 2:41 pm

    Fucking Guidos.

  49. shenronrulez on July 8, 2019 at 2:44 pm

You should use fencing staples. You have to hammer them, but they would definitely hold better.

  50. Spitfire57 whaley on July 8, 2019 at 2:47 pm

Very cool idea. Try vacuuming the wasps
