DIY Dollar Tree Solar Outdoor Lamp Post | You won't believe what I used!

Hello, Beauties ~ Today I will be creating a Solar Outdoor Lamp Post using all Dollar Tree items with the exception of the spray paint and glue. If you want to see how I transform a Dollar Tree solar light into a lighted lamp post then please see the video. You’re going to be amazed at how beautiful it looks in the nighttime.

You can find supplies at your local Dollar Tree or you can visit Dollar Tree’s online website at:

Lovely, however too many butterflies? Two or three would have been better maybe. Also Dollar Tree carries rocks in net bags, which is a good weight too! Thank you!

It’s cute. Wondering what happens when it rains. If the butterflies and artificial greens/flowers start not looking so nice afterwards.

  7. Maria Salas on May 4, 2019 at 9:23 pm

Esta suave la idea pero la doña es muy aburrida para enseñar casi me dormi

  9. Caroline Murphy on May 4, 2019 at 9:26 pm

That’s so pretty. The wires are long so you can pose the butterflies in flight.

I think this is just beautiful. I am wondering why you used potting soil for fake flowers?

  14. Melanie Ortiz on May 4, 2019 at 9:31 pm

  18. Mary Reed on May 4, 2019 at 9:33 pm

I always use big rubber bands to help it fit.

  23. Angela Lively on May 4, 2019 at 9:45 pm

Great idea. If you wanted more of a “lamp” look you could wrap the wire basket in the twine. Then you could add a solar light in with the flowers so you wouldn’t lose any light. Very creative. Thank you!

  28. Elaine Smith on May 4, 2019 at 9:55 pm

Like this idea, but how do you change the batteries or the light for the lamp? I would have added some flowering vines on the wire basket.

I don’t know what the heck, but the 💲🌳’s in my city don’t have a lot of the same things so I’ve had to improvise. But I think it will still work. I’m going to be making 2 of these and 2 of the solar light balls for my mom’s birthday. *^▁^*

  33. Sandy Vee on May 4, 2019 at 10:00 pm

Why don’t you use PVC Pipe?

  34. Jane McElroy on May 4, 2019 at 10:01 pm

I love it, but, you could actually put a live plant in there also, couldn’t you? Drill a few drain holes on the sides of the wine glass base. Just a thought since it is in the open for solar charge. Great creativity.

  44. Rebecca Nichols on May 4, 2019 at 10:08 pm

Cute project, might have to make one of these come spring. Could you use the wine glass bottom when making the 5ft Christmas tree? And then maybe gluing a saucer or small plate to that.

  45. Kim on May 4, 2019 at 10:08 pm

Very nice love it….when I make it I will be putting holes in the planter and use stone instead of soil.
