Can’t wait to see your outdoor area come to life, SO EXCITING😃

  2. Janice Santos on November 3, 2022 at 8:53 pm

This was perfect timing and by happen stance that I came across your channel. We just had an outdoor patio space built to give us more space to entertain outdoors. I have been mixing my furniture between wrought iron, wood, and woven sunbrella furniture set. I’m adding pictures on the wall, plants, fire pit table etc. I don’t want just a simple blah outdoor space. Thanks so much for this video. it was perfect timing for me.

  3. Julia M on November 3, 2022 at 8:54 pm

Thanks a lot, V! Especially the point "not finding the purpose" was essential for our balcony. We wanted a lounge area AND a dining area for 4 people. But neither really fit there. Thank you for reminding us and now we just focus on a big lounge area! Greetings from Germany!

Not trying to be a smarta$$ but…….the early shot of you sketching outside in your cream pants with the large cream planter behind you ——- oh my. At first glance, I thought baby’s got some serious junk.

  5. Leslee Carson on November 3, 2022 at 8:56 pm

Just ordered some Telescope furniture. It’s very well made

  6. LynnB on November 3, 2022 at 8:58 pm

I like your advice but it’s funny to me because you are talking about not buying full sets of things for mixing and matching different sets and I’m like I have an 8 by 8 ft slab in my backyard with a small cover on it. All I have to do to run out of outdoor space to decorate is get two chairs.

  7. Musclefreak on November 3, 2022 at 8:58 pm

Can you please share where you bought your black candle holder from on your fireplace, love it!

  8. Lu O on November 3, 2022 at 8:59 pm

I really agree with needing something aged in with your decor and I rarely hear people point that out.

  9. Geanina Rodriguez on November 3, 2022 at 8:59 pm

Would love more gardening and outdoor space videos!

No you’re right number one is number one the reason I typed it in and got your channel. I just built a cottage and I had the first piece of small land and I started well now I just bought the next piece of small plot land and now it just looks messy and now I need to start all over luckily I’ve only been doing this for four months but it’s really messing me up and you’re right don’t go cheap but you don’t have to spend a lot of money you can find things on craigslist or something

  12. Melissa Cochran on November 3, 2022 at 9:05 pm

I miss your leopard for House of Valentina.

As a Mom of four, former preschool teacher, etc I have been incorporating ‘areas’ for years..
Best way to look at spaces, no matter how small or large. And what do you want or need the area to be for your lifestyle?
TY 🌞 V for fun tips.. Enjoy ☘️

  19. Angela Galluzzo on November 3, 2022 at 9:16 pm

My question is…how do you create different sitting areas that looks cohesive in your outdoor space?

  20. Wendy Beattie on November 3, 2022 at 9:18 pm

I’ve bought some great outdoor furniture at Home Depot and Walmart as well

  21. D Finite on November 3, 2022 at 9:19 pm

Outdoor furniture doesn’t last as long as indoor, also. They get ruined in the Shan e r, or both.

  22. Zahiya Hassan on November 3, 2022 at 9:19 pm

Please pls do a video on rugs! I’m having tough time figuring out neutral rugs for family room thx💕💕💕

  23. Debra VanNett on November 3, 2022 at 9:21 pm

I have a huge deck at the front entrance of our house. I am determined to actually decorate it and USE it . We have lots of furniture but are very secluded with NO guests to enjoy it the only one to even see it is MR BROWN PANTS !!

  24. Nichette Hill on November 3, 2022 at 9:22 pm

I am struggling with getting a new couch for the patio. I have a metal love seat and matching chairs but the love seat is way too small. I can’t find a sofa that I think matches. Help!

  25. Diane Gardner on November 3, 2022 at 9:24 pm

You’ve the same philosophy for outside & inside! Working w/my local university to become a Texas Master Gardner. I have a small home & outside… want to utilize every square inch and make the areas so pleasant that one can not choose a favorite spot!

  26. Cat Rice on November 3, 2022 at 9:27 pm

I am a sit and linger person

  27. Julaine Traxler on November 3, 2022 at 9:28 pm

Our backyard is so interesting to us. We are more vegetable garden, clothesline, fire pit and spa friendly. Not sleek or expensive. It is comfortable for kids and families. We just love it!!!

  28. Brenda Wood on November 3, 2022 at 9:28 pm

There are no mistakes, it is personal choice.

  29. Too Sense on November 3, 2022 at 9:28 pm

I’ve paid almost as much for my outdoor furniture as I have my indoor purchases. I used to go cheap but those things didn’t last in the hot Texas sun and ended up having to be replaced. Now I go with iron/cast aluminum and solid wood. Both can be refinished or spray painted as needed. I LOVE being outside. ❤️

  30. Denice Bolden on November 3, 2022 at 9:28 pm

Hello, I absolutely love your videos and appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I live in Los Angeles and am fortunate to live near both Target, Ikea, and most of the stores you’ve mentioned. I also frequent a pottery manufacturer that sells to the public. I purchased several pieces from the Teak Warehouse over time that I place on the deck in warmer weather and source cushions from Home Goods to change looks. My kitchen table & chairs are an outdoor set, their black wrought iron and the table has a glass top.

  31. Cnew on November 3, 2022 at 9:30 pm

Yup, I want to see it 😁

Valentina!! I’m so obsessed with your channel. Thank you so much for all you share AND I must say thank you for involving your spouse as well. It has made decorating much more enjoyable in my marriage too.

  36. Jules Davis on November 3, 2022 at 9:38 pm

Super helpful. What about finding outdoor furniture for really tall people?

  37. Celieboo on November 3, 2022 at 9:38 pm

I love how designers constantly talk about Restoration Hardware, like we are all able to afford to shop there. Lol..

  38. nora garcia on November 3, 2022 at 9:40 pm

Valentina, PLEASE tell me where you purchased the beautiful living room “jute” large area rug with heavy long fringe ?? It’s absolutely amazing!!

  39. what1dreamt on November 3, 2022 at 9:41 pm

yes, would love to see a yard makeover.

  40. Kimmi Rose on November 3, 2022 at 9:42 pm

What to do with kids toys..? How to make everything look relaxing and put together when your kids play many sports and games in the yard.

  41. Dawn Kidd on November 3, 2022 at 9:44 pm

Valentina I get just as excited over things the same as you. My husband and kids laugh at me, my oldest daughter tells me I have ADD,lol. I especially love planning and changing up my outdoor spaces. Way before they called it bringing the outside in that was the way we lived. I have SAD(seasonal affected disorder) and Lupus so I really love being outside as much as possible. Sometimes it’s frustrating because the cold makes my pain more severe and because of the Lupus the heat in Summer makes me very sick so this year I’m trying to design areas that will help me be able to enjoy my yard more often.

  42. Phyllis Fisher on November 3, 2022 at 9:45 pm

I can’t seem to figure out what to put around the pool, it’s an 18 by 36 oval with about 3 to 5 feet around. I’d like to create a more inviting setting, right now it’s bare. Thank you.

  43. Melanie Mulhall on November 3, 2022 at 9:45 pm

Yes, I agree that a little age and patina are good. In fact, I’m with you on everything here.

  48. Juliana Villanueva on November 3, 2022 at 9:51 pm

I loved this we have a home in San Felipe Mexico it has a bigstone table and benches, on patio. Great ideas …. Will remove benches add chairs. Benches will go on entry. So inspired.

  49. Sweet Never Bitter on November 3, 2022 at 9:51 pm

I just bought some nice comfortable plastic chairs from IKEA called Skarpo. Made from recycled materials. They are aesthetically pleasing and surprisingly very comfortable. I agree on not having too many plastic pieces as well as matching everything. 😀

  50. Grandma Lisa’s Storytime on November 3, 2022 at 9:52 pm

I needed this! My outdoor space has been taken over by a 3-year old grandson and all his equipment, and cats who like to sleep on anything I put out there… even in my potted plants 🪴! I want to reclaim my front porch and garden 🪴
