Flower beds look great and your hair is beautiful.

  2. Cornelia Ersson on August 30, 2020 at 10:26 pm

Hi Laura! Could it be the amount of wind that you guys have received this season? Where the Suncredible sunflowers instead have grown shorter and more robust to cope with the wind? 🙂

  3. Nh H on August 30, 2020 at 10:27 pm

    Am loving your hair!!!!

  4. Paul T's World on August 30, 2020 at 10:30 pm

I like the euphorbia with its frothy ‘look’.

  5. MommaG on August 30, 2020 at 10:30 pm

Your hair looks great! I’ve also been having issues with some plants not performing like they usually do. My purple fountain grass and King Tut didn’t put on much growth at all as they have in previous years. On a positive note, this was my first year planting a vertigo pennisetum and it was fantastic! It will definitely be a repeat in my garden every year

  6. DeAnne DedeMarie Vogel-Hampton on August 30, 2020 at 10:30 pm

    Hair looks amazing!

  9. Janey Santos on August 30, 2020 at 10:34 pm

On one my my Johnny seed packs of sunflowers (teddy bear dwarf) it says that warmer temps will cause flowers to stretch while cooler temps will cause plants to dwarf. I bet the sunflowers were short bc you had such a cool spring!

  10. I Howell on August 30, 2020 at 10:35 pm

I love your hair cut! Your hair was beautiful long, but the short cut is so refreshing and cooler. 🥰

  11. Sherah Davis on August 30, 2020 at 10:36 pm

What a lovely thing to do for your friends! I am curious to know what your friends thought about the outcome of the plantings. What did they like? Did they dislike anything? What have they been inspired to do next year?

    P. S. Love the hair!

  12. magin bigapple on August 30, 2020 at 10:37 pm

Counting down to 1 million! I have been following you since the video on how to deadhead the roses – the one that you filmed at your old house. Got me hooked onto gardening, and it’s not a three-minute craze! The love for gardening is still strong, and it has given me so much fulfillment and joy! Thanks Laura.

  13. Sandy G on August 30, 2020 at 10:37 pm

Hi Laura and Aaron! Those flower beds look so good. Everything grew so well and filled it up pretty fast. It’s too bad about the sunflowers, maybe they’ll do better next year. 🤞 Please thank your friends for letting us drop by for an update, and thank you for sharing! BTW, your hair looks really pretty!

  14. Kerry Midkiff on August 30, 2020 at 10:42 pm

Hi you 3 and baby on the way,GOD BLESS. I’ve been watching your videos for a few days straight. One of the earlier ones came on. The growth you all have gone through has been amazing! The growth and changes have been amazing. Congratulations on everything.

Hey Laura! We moved into our first home about a year and a half ago and that’s about when I discovered your channel. You’ve inspired me so much to get out in my own garden and make it a space I love! My question is for the Rose of Sharon – can they be pruned to keep it at a certain height or will that disturb the plant? Ps, your hair and new vans?!? You look great!💗💗

  17. Jolie Wilkinson on August 30, 2020 at 10:42 pm

Did you say "Playin’ the Blues" is a perennial? You got me all excited! 😂 Proven Winners tag says it’s an annual. We love you Garden Answer!

  26. Sasha 18 on August 30, 2020 at 10:58 pm

I’ve heard being pregnant can change your hair. Did your hair get straighter and that’s why you cut it? My moms hair got super curly when she was pregnant.

  27. c.i lee on August 30, 2020 at 10:58 pm

I love watching your videos! Honestly, I’ve been watching your videos on fb too. I’m learning a lot, hopefully I can try planting by watching your videos. 💕💕

The flower beds look great. Thank you for showing again how you hooked up the timer and drip watering lines to the hose bib. I will be doing that this fall when it cools off some! Imagining the layout in my mind Lol. I like the hair cut. I’m ready for one myself but I have to keep enough for a ponytail. It’s so humid in Texas I have to keep it off my neck when outside. I always cut my hair shorter while pregnant (so much easier to manage). Have a blessed and fun day. God bless you and your family.

  29. Jan Kessell on August 30, 2020 at 11:04 pm

Last year my cosmos grew to 7 feet tall and had only a handful of flowers that came on right before our first frost hit. Very strange.

  30. Linda Gray on August 30, 2020 at 11:06 pm

Hi Laura, can you please do an update on the espaliered pear tree? My comadre is planning to do just that and I showed her your video and she loved it. But her pear tree is more mature

  34. Heidi Crespin on August 30, 2020 at 11:07 pm

    Hi Laura & Arron
I saw the PVG Virtual and I hope you might be able to help, So they’re trying to find ways to help here is a question and I just did not know where to go. I purchased a holy grail Hibiscus I got it as a rooted plants in a plastic bag thought it would be a plant in a pot that I would just put into the ground. that wasn’t what I was expecting but Ive been gardening for a while and thought I could handle it put it into a medium pot with some really good soil and some starter food from Espoma and put it outside kept it watered it was outside during the winter I’m here in California so I don’t feel that it was too cold and I figured it was a rooted plant that should be fine so winter came and went and summer came and I don’t know what happened but it never bloomed I didn’t know who to turn to and I did try to contact the company with no success so I am ordering another one and again I feel I will be getting it in a plastic bag rooted I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, who do I contact? this was a $30 plant can’t keep loosing these a lot 🌸😢 so anyway long story short who do you contact when you purchase something they don’t seem to have a lot of go to contacts when this happens…

  40. Jeanette Maddox on August 30, 2020 at 11:12 pm

My husband says that at our house “the first year they lie, the second year they try, and the third year they die.” 🤣🤣🤣

  41. Linda Smith on August 30, 2020 at 11:13 pm

Oh, my salvia just failed this year. I think I need to move it to full sun. Massachusetts. Maybe it needed more water too. It was only its second season. semi drought conditions this year

  42. Leo & Julie on August 30, 2020 at 11:13 pm

    💘

  46. Amy Deeds on August 30, 2020 at 11:20 pm

Love seeing how the plants progress. I think I like the euphorbia better in pots-kind if wild looking in the ground! I’ve had a lot of plants act strangely this year- chlorosis, spider mites which I’ve never had before, and some just giving up in these long hot periods. Great haircut too!

  47. Emma Thienes on August 30, 2020 at 11:20 pm

Ok I’m so confused….you said Playin’ the Blues Salvia was one of your favorite "Perennials" but then you mention that the grass will be the only plant left and the rest will be gone. So I looked it up. According to the Proven Winners website, "Playin’ The Blues™ is a wonderful annual Salvia (except in frost free zones) compact and richly colored it is easy and trouble free." But then someone in the comments said he/she thought it was a perennial also because it comes back in zone 5. What’s up wit dat? Oh please, Laura guru of all that is Proven Winners, please lend us your wisdom. ;D

  48. Ginny Summers on August 30, 2020 at 11:22 pm
