Remember to grab a dozen or so of these and however you use them they are great for emergency lighting indoors during a power failure.

THANK YOU!!!! I’ve made several cute lights to use as night lights for my bathrooms. I use several across each room & hang one from a closed door in the hall near my kids’ room. I have a big flower pot on the front porch (in full sun), and each morning I walk around with a DT basket and collect the light portion. then I take them outside and put them back on the "stems" that have been planted in the pot. In the evening I go out and harvest my light crop, haha! The small crackled glass jars are also super cute with the light top in them. Thanks again!!!

  35. Bee Whistler on July 4, 2020 at 8:21 pm

I actually put one inside a witch’s hat I made to wear to an outdoor convention. Then I put a little window in each side next to the light so anytime I walked into a panel inside, the solar light would switch on and the hat would glow gently. It was a tan witch’s hat because I was a sand witch. So to flesh out the terrible dad pun I decided she was a desert witch, complete with a shemagh, desert survival gear, water and a solar powered magic hat.

Thumbs down people what did you think a solar light hack was going to do: run your car?! I don’t get it, if I was thrilled or impressed or whatever & not offended or something I’d just move on. No thumbs. Strange.

This maybe one of the only dollar store ideas Iโ€™ve liked and intend on doing. I have a great sun porch and Im redoing it as a COVID project. This will add nice relaxation lighting for night and as a bonus I can use them as hurricane backups.
