Would you consider a slow release fertilizer like Osmacote to start off with then the soluble later

What was the weed control method previously in this area where you’re planting? Mulch? Pre-emergents like Preen? both, other?

If you plan on planting bulbs a month from now, when would you expect them to bloom?

I’m seeing lots of pansies and violas on clearance at the big box stores. They’re pretty leggy though. Can they be pinched back to make them fuller?

I do annuals in a raised flower bed and then spend all summer pulling weeds. What do you do for weed control?

Why are you planting pansies in the fall? Don’t they just die off and go to seed? I’ve never had success as a perennial. They usually just re-seed themselves.
