There are over 5,000 varieties in this garden but there is a particular spot which I like, the Garden of World Medicine. The way that the herbs are arranged is a outstanding sight. It’s a wonder and an art in itself.
The collection at the Secret Garden include herbs coming from native North Americans, the Maori of New Zealand and Australia, Indian, Chinese, African, Mediterranean and the colder parts of Europe. Of course, the best ones are the ones coming from the Mediterranean. Why? This is because of the fact that a lot of Mediterranean herbs are commonly used in North American cuisines. Mediterranean herbs thrive well in North America, having the same climate — not too humid, but not too cold as well. Mediterranean herbs are very healthy too!
