I love this we installed a pool 2 years ago and our back yard was awful. This makes me so excited and gives me a lot of ideas. Thank you!

You need a wheel barrow to put the bricks in when working on your patio

  4. Melanie H on June 26, 2020 at 7:19 pm

Great job…it’s Beautiful …how did you secure the benches and bar? Did you use carpenters glue or something?

  5. TT3 TV on June 26, 2020 at 7:21 pm

Maybe you could cut plywood down to about the size of the frames, prime it with exterior paint, and then adhere and seal the prints through decoupage, and just use an exterior recommended adhesive to attach the black frames. Just an idea 😊

  9. Ivonne Castro on June 26, 2020 at 7:24 pm

What’s gonna work? … team work!

  10. GButterfly15 on June 26, 2020 at 7:24 pm

What type of adhesive did you use for your benches? I may use this idea

  11. Taryn Carfley on June 26, 2020 at 7:25 pm

What did you use to secure the cinder blocks to each other and then to the 2×4’s? Also, do you know what size the cinder blocks were?

  12. Angela Derose on June 26, 2020 at 7:25 pm

Wow Megan, you guys did a awesome job! ❤️ New sub here… TFS

Where did you get the 2 black and white cups. That have the palm tree print with the toothpicks in them. Their so adorable!

  16. Chuong Nguyen on June 26, 2020 at 7:30 pm

Well, u just clean up your mess

  17. MARY-ANN DE LOOR on June 26, 2020 at 7:31 pm

Cheap weed killer. Vinegar, water, & dawn dish soap. Mix gently & place in a spray bottle. Spray on any weeds you want gone. Check google for the exact amounts. Brilliant hack!

  18. Chelsey Dukes on June 26, 2020 at 7:32 pm

How are the 2x4s holding up to people sitting on them? You can use silicone to keep them in place.

  19. Shannon J on June 26, 2020 at 7:33 pm

I wonder if u pour resin over the prints inside the frame if that would make them weather proof for u? I’d still use the backing that comes with the frame, lay the print on & then use a popsicle stick to smooth a thin layer of resin over it. Then u can stick it in the frame and should be golden!

Im exhausted just watching you. You can definitely be proud of your selves. You have inspired me to finally paint my door. Dud you paint it and put the hardware back on in one day? Putting down landscape fabric is very common. We have rocks instead of grass so the previous owner put the fabric down under the rocks. The grass and weeds sprout right up through it in the spring. It comes right up to our citrus and palm trees and makes it hard to water them.
I like spray painting. I will paint any thing that doesn’t move 🏜

    Great outdoor space!!

  22. Crafting with NWofA Noel Smith on June 26, 2020 at 7:35 pm

Beautiful redo. Did you consider mixing the new and the old patio tiles so the new ones wouldn’t be on one side and the old ones be on the other.

  23. KATHLEEN SMITH on June 26, 2020 at 7:35 pm

    Great teamwork!

  24. Stephanie S on June 26, 2020 at 7:36 pm

You and your husband did great. It looked nice before but the larger patio and fridge are nice additions for a family. Still love that table and chair set.

  25. vieira105 on June 26, 2020 at 7:38 pm

I love it. Gave me some awesome ideas for my yard. Thank you for sharing.

  26. Louise Cox on June 26, 2020 at 7:38 pm

Lots of great ideas. I think the awning idea over the bar area would be so cute!! I bet your husband cld make one! Live the rug. Bought me a new this year fm Wal-Mart also. Tfs

  28. Amanda Hirschfeld on June 26, 2020 at 7:41 pm

Poor white vinegar on weeds and they wont come back.

  29. Willene Francisco on June 26, 2020 at 7:42 pm

You and your husband really did a great job. I love the way you too work together
Awesome job. Can’t wait to see more of your videos 😍

  30. Ericka Hill on June 26, 2020 at 7:43 pm

Yessss! I love the design, looks like hard work, but teamwork makes the dream work! Great job!!!♥️♥️♥️

  31. shelly rell on June 26, 2020 at 7:46 pm

Very cute. I would hang string lights from the house to a pole that’s wrapped with a planter box right outside of the patio.

  32. Sandra Regina Loqueti on June 26, 2020 at 7:47 pm

    Ficou lindo, parabéns, amei

  33. Megan Rodeck on June 26, 2020 at 7:47 pm

Why isn’t all the stone the same color?

  34. Lisette Medina on June 26, 2020 at 7:49 pm

You should look into a sail shade to ad to that beautiful space y’all created!

  35. Life After Quarantine on June 26, 2020 at 7:50 pm

For the prints you could use laminate paper, and iron it on yourself to both sides. Then attached the prints to a dark coloured twine onto your siding. Keep all eight and do two rows! Just a thought.

  36. Judith Jordan on June 26, 2020 at 7:50 pm

You have done a wonderful job on your patio. The only thing I would add is to put a 1x under your 2xs and screw short 1.5 or 2" screws into them to keep the spacing consistent. Otherwise they will shift.

  37. Brittany Marie on June 26, 2020 at 7:50 pm

I’m a new subscriber and love this video!!

  38. Lela McClanahan on June 26, 2020 at 7:53 pm

Wow!! Totally Awesome!! Love the Creativity and Team Work!! Looks Great!!

  39. Eric Harris on June 26, 2020 at 7:56 pm

Only thing I’d do differently is move the grill away from the house so it doesn’t melt the siding off of it.

  40. Kelli Lang on June 26, 2020 at 7:56 pm

not sure if you brushed in polymeric sand between the pavers….it keeps the pavers from moving…looks great!

  41. Zoe Emiko on June 26, 2020 at 7:56 pm

In the long run you’re going to be happy you laid a foundation of the cloth.

  42. Kim M on June 26, 2020 at 8:00 pm

    Beautiful!! Love the benches!!

  43. Judy Smith on June 26, 2020 at 8:00 pm

Right, as long as there is dust and dirt blowing around there will always be seeds growing on top of the blocks. I have cacti growing in the gutter cracks

  44. Maria Folgar on June 26, 2020 at 8:01 pm

    I loved it!!!

  45. Christine Matthews on June 26, 2020 at 8:05 pm

Why didn’t you clean up the existing pavers?

  46. Love my Pink I’m a Girly Girl on June 26, 2020 at 8:05 pm

    Is your outdoor fridge cordless???

  47. Elizabeth Vanderberg on June 26, 2020 at 8:06 pm

    love it

  48. 1234 Coffee on June 26, 2020 at 8:08 pm

You should put some plank was a little higher in between the bricks so the refrigerator has a little bit a height instead of people bending over because not everyone has a good back

  49. R Kumar on June 26, 2020 at 8:10 pm

Just subscribed 🙂 and beautiful makeover .. btw quick question how did you attach the 2*4 wood to cinder blocks ?

  50. Margi Povey-Bachen on June 26, 2020 at 8:12 pm

I think Derek was Right, you DO need the fabric down as you Never keep up with pulling the weeds. There is always Something thats more important …… Well done Derek insisting on the fabric !! You have both worked So Hard doing this xxx
