This video shows how I planted up my annuals in my hanging baskets and flower pots. This is easy to do but just takes a little bit of time and effort. See below for fertilizing the flowers.

This is what I use to fertilize my baskets and pots. Rotate the 2 Fertilome products every other fertilizing. Fertilize every other time you water alternating the 2 different Fertilome products. Use clear water every other watering. Use 1 tsp per product per gallon of water. Then use the Hydretain 1 time per month. This will help the soil retain the water.

How and the heck do you have time to mow your lawn like 3-4 times per week and do this without your wife losing her mind?? I can barely mow my lawn twice a week without the nagging. Jeezuz

Connor, have you and your wife considered starting a little greenhouse/nursery? Considering how much you love flowers and plants I would think that it could be a worthy investment of time and money!

Fantastic advice on filling the pots! Looks great! Love the metal containers too!

    Hey Connor, got a suggestion:

Would you please be able to categorise your videos into playlists to make it easier to navigate through? Eg (beginner lawn care, plants, season care etc)

  16. Alex Walker on May 24, 2020 at 5:47 pm

Can you do a tour of your drip irrigation system? It looks like you’ve got all of your pots and baskets setup. I’d be curious to see what you’re doing. What works and what doesn’t. Your channel has really got me motivated. So thanks.

What fertilizer do you use for your planters?

  20. TN Hawkeye on May 24, 2020 at 6:00 pm

It’s nice to see you and your wife working together on this. Sometimes we have the “man do yard, woman do flowers” mindset but working together really gives a sense of ownership with the flowers. If only I can get my wife to spread milo…

    what, no safety protection?

…anyway, I use Styrofoam ‘peanut pops’ in the bottoms of my planted pots…and always wear eye protection

    A plain white T-shirt? Borrriingg!

  23. chris ryan on May 24, 2020 at 6:08 pm

That is great Connor. The flowers definitely help with the landscape. You should do more videos with your wife and/or kids in the videos. It makes a family environment. Take care.

1:10 sec exactly…. Arm and hammer bottle should keep the flowers smelling clean

  27. mmacejko929 on May 24, 2020 at 6:12 pm

Kind of bummed you didn’t break out the vacuum to clean up any spilled dirt on the lawn…

  28. John Kay on May 24, 2020 at 6:15 pm

Don’t you have a vegetable garden? Maybe a video on that if you have some edible things growing?

  29. Steve Goff on May 24, 2020 at 6:18 pm

My wife was watching this over my shoulder and said "Connor, it’s called thrill, fill, and spill."
