Any places you recommend on finding rock for the side of the house. Landscape company quoted a lot.

Hi…New subscriber here. Totally love your place. These have been some great DIY ideas. And so thrifty. Thank you for sharing and I am looking forward to many more ideas in the future. I don’t know where you are but I’m sure it isn’t here in California. No way would we get those beautiful flowers. Have a very blessed day! 🙏🥰

  4. KMF on September 7, 2020 at 10:50 pm

Is there a reason that you didn’t put the stone directly up against the house? You left a little bit of a space?

  5. Rob Dee on September 7, 2020 at 10:52 pm

be careful with your foxglove….it’s toxic.

  6. MaryWtk on September 7, 2020 at 10:52 pm

I just love these ideas. That wood path is awesome. You have inspired me. We just purchased a property and there are some things that the previous owners left that some would call junk but I know I could do something with some of it. Hat tip to you guys.

  12. Sonia Tucker on September 7, 2020 at 11:02 pm

Liquid mas is a contractors adhesive. Used indoors as well as outdoors. Also rock can be free, go to creek .

You’re lucky to get those stones free….over here in Australia ever single medium piece of stone cost $15 dollrs…so that’s not really a thrifty diy landscaping project down here…… thanks for showing us anyway

  19. Mary Backer on September 7, 2020 at 11:08 pm

Beautiful! Just be sure not to use pressure-treated wood near food crops, since it has dangerous chemicals in it. Keep up the great videos!

  26. Dede Vaughn on September 7, 2020 at 11:15 pm

Those blocks are capstones. They’re to top off cinder blocks if you’re making a wall, for example.

  27. Julius Cepeda on September 7, 2020 at 11:15 pm

If you want to control the weeds between the wooden boards that grow in the pea gravel, apply pre emergent weed preventer like Scott’s with Haltz in the spring. You can also use Preen.

  28. Louise Cox on September 7, 2020 at 11:16 pm

  33. Nancy Deis on September 7, 2020 at 11:19 pm

First time to your channel. Have not finished the video yet but i wanted to say how i love the walkway from reclaimed wood. I watch Garden Answers channel and she used pallet wood to make a curving pathway through a part of her garden. It is amazing how when you age your outlook of life changes and how you look at pretty much everything around you. I never liked wood before and now the color the patterns….it all is beautiful, unique and precious.

  34. Brenda Stolecki on September 7, 2020 at 11:20 pm

The weeds didnt come through your landscspe fabric. Seeds grew from the pea gravel. Just pull them out. It should be easy.

  35. cathy herring on September 7, 2020 at 11:20 pm

You did a beautiful job. Love the stone ❤️❤️😇❤️💕

  36. laura burke on September 7, 2020 at 11:21 pm

Would you please consider looking into a rain barrel to catch the water? You could then use that for your gardens!
    Think Green?

  37. Sherry Bailey on September 7, 2020 at 11:28 pm

We just bought wooded land, so much of your projects are what I want to do there. Thank you for share!

  38. eelnna la on September 7, 2020 at 11:29 pm

Put white vinegar in your garden sprayer…add a good squeeze of Dawn then spray the weeds on a hot, sunny morning. By evening you’ll have dead weeds that you can easily pull…if they dont pull easily, soak them down again.

Typically I spray the top of the root really well even pushing down into the soil, crack or rocks.
    Beautifully done! Love your place!!

  39. Yadira Rigual on September 7, 2020 at 11:29 pm

Very pretty! Love the stone border.

  40. Nonie Marley on September 7, 2020 at 11:31 pm

Gutter screens stop the trash in the gutters.

  41. Karen Dreiser on September 7, 2020 at 11:32 pm

Oh my goodness I love the walkway so beautiful. Your home is beautiful. Do you have 3 son’s? Omg, what a beautiful family.

  42. drbbass on September 7, 2020 at 11:32 pm

You’ve done a marvelous job in your yard! A lot of work, thank you very much for sharing! Diane

  43. Cynthia DeBeau on September 7, 2020 at 11:32 pm

I would reconsider having Foxglove in a garden accessible to small children, as it can cause health issues (heart) if ingested. I know they are so beautiful to look at.😊

  44. Teresa Cutshaw on September 7, 2020 at 11:35 pm

To find thrifted stone, brick, even boards, timber and logs…. Watch places like letgo, Fb marketplace, LOCAL to you. In my area i have found a lot of these garden project materials used and even neŵ real cheap thru these sources. When you go pick up materials…Use good gloves and watch out for spiders wasps and snakes. Experience talking lol.
    Have fun. Stay safe.

  45. Margarita Daisy on September 7, 2020 at 11:37 pm

Beautiful backyard with interesting ideas, especially the stones 😍

  46. Cindy Smith on September 7, 2020 at 11:38 pm

Wow, you have really inspired me Andrea! I have never watched a YouTube video 3 times but had to! My husband and I purchased a cottage style fixer upper about 5 years ago but sadly 😔 he passed away a year ago and I’m doing everything myself now with a small budget. I was going to install gutters but not anymore! Thank you so much for the inspiration! God bless 🙏 💝

  47. bthosath on September 7, 2020 at 11:38 pm

It’s so hard to not want everything done at once. It’s a good reminder to take time and get one thing done at a time- I needed to hear that today 🙂

  48. Gwen Cochran on September 7, 2020 at 11:40 pm

I just love y’all!! You are such an inspiration to everyone!! The stones are beautiful.
